WASHINGTON, DC – Cassandra Kuball, Trade & Industry Relations Manager for the Corn Refiners Association (CRA), has been appointed by U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack and U.S. Trade Representative Michael Froman to serve on the Agricultural Technical Advisory Committee for Trade (ATAC) in Sweeteners.
ATAC plays a significant role in the trade policy process, providing advice on negotiating objectives and strategies and the development and administration of U.S. agricultural trade policy. In addition, ATAC members offer technical advice and information on specific product sectors.
“Cassandra has been a tremendous asset to the CRA and its member companies in dealing with complex international trade issues,” said John Bode, President & CEO of the CRA. “I know she will bring significant value to ATAC. Secretary Vilsack and Ambassador Froman have made a smart choice in selecting Cassandra.”
A total of 19 new members were appointed to six agricultural trade advisory committees by Secretary Vilsack and Ambassador Froman. Kuball’s appointment became effective June 15, 2014 and will expire on June 15, 2018.
The Corn Refiners Association (CRA) is the national trade association representing the corn refining industry of the United States. CRA and its predecessors have served this important segment of American agribusiness since 1913. Corn refiners manufacture sweeteners, ethanol, starch, bioproducts, corn oil and feed products from corn components such as starch, oil, protein and fiber.
