The Corn Refiners Association (CRA) represents the corn wet-milling industry in the United States. Wet milling allows corn to be turned into sweeteners, starch, advanced bioproducts, and feed products from corn components such as oil, protein, and fiber. CRA also administers the Plant Based Products Council (PBPC), an organization launched by CRA in 2019 that represents companies manufacturing or using non-food products and materials made from renewable, plant-based inputs.  The Executive Assistant will support the CEO & President of CRA while offering administrative support to other senior staff as time allows.

The Executive Assistant responsibilities include executive calendar management, meeting coordination, travel logistics, coordinating support materials, and preparing expense reports. To be successful in this role, you should be well-organized, have great time management skills, and be able to exercise independent judgement. Ultimately, the Executive Assistant will contribute to the efficiency of our association by providing personalized and timely support to the CEO and other senior staff.  

What You’ll Do:

  • Ensure smooth performance of the daily operations for the President and CEO of CRA
  • Manage all calendar items for the President and CEO, including but not limited to internal/external meeting requests and travel
  • Take initiative to troubleshoot calendar-related conflicts and coordinate with appropriate parties on solutions
  • Develop and manage a system of review to prioritize incoming communications including invitations, meeting request, and social engagements
  • Format information for internal and external communication such as memos, emails, presentations, etc.
  • Respond and follow up on calls, emails, and other inquiries on behalf of the CEO and President
  • Manage and coordinate travel arrangements
  • Reconcile and complete CEO expense reports
  • Offer administrative support to other senior staff as time permits
  • Handle other special projects as assigned

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of administrative support experience with previous experience supporting an executive.
  • Advanced mastery of Microsoft Office Suite- primarily Outlook, SharePoint, and PowerPoint
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills
  • Superlative verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must be discrete and maintain confidentiality
  • Strong problem solving and collaboration skills
  • Associate degree preferred
