WASHINGTON, DC – Today, in reaction to the letter of intent to renegotiate the North America Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) sent to Congress by U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer, John Bode, President and CEO of the Corn Refiners Association, commented:
“We appreciate Ambassador Lighthizer’s letter to notify Congress of negotiations to modernize NAFTA. We look forward to working with our new Trade Representative and his team to support higher-paying jobs and build exports. We were pleased that the letter referenced the importance of food and agriculture trade.”
The Corn Refiners Association (CRA) is the national trade association representing the corn refining industry of the United States. CRA and its predecessors have served this important segment of American agribusiness since 1913. Corn refiners manufacture sweeteners, starch, advanced bioproducts, corn oil and feed products from corn components such as starch, oil, protein and fiber.
