CRA Statement on NAFTA Letter of Intent

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, in reaction to the letter of intent to renegotiate the North America Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) sent to Congress by U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer, John Bode, President and CEO of the Corn Refiners Association, commented:

“We appreciate Ambassador Lighthizer’s letter to notify Congress of negotiations to modernize NAFTA.  We look forward to working with our new Trade Representative and his team to support higher-paying jobs and build exports. We were pleased that the letter referenced the importance of food and agriculture trade.”
