WASHINGTON, DC – The Corn Refiners Association (CRA) is pleased to announce that Julia Gustafson has joined its staff as Counsel and Director, Legislative Affairs.  In this role she will help to lead the development of CRA’s legislative agenda and advocate priorities before Congress.

“We are fortunate to have Julia join our team,” said CRA President & CEO John Bode.  “Her experience in government affairs and her legal skills will be a tremendous asset to the CRA as we address the many complex challenges before us.”

Gustafson previously held senior government relations positions with Newmont Mining Corporation and the National Mining Association.  She earned a B.A. from the University of Georgia and a J.D. from the University of Montana School of Law.

“I am honored to have the opportunity to join the CRA,” said Gustafson.  “I look forward to helping its great staff and member companies achieve their legislative and policy objectives.”

Gustafson started her new position on July 28th.

The Corn Refiners Association (CRA) is the national trade association representing the corn refining industry of the United States. CRA and its predecessors have served this important segment of American agribusiness since 1913. Corn refiners manufacture sweeteners, ethanol, starch, bioproducts, corn oil and feed products from corn components such as starch, oil, protein and fiber.
