Washington, DC – Today, Mike Taylor announced that he is stepping down from his position of Deputy Commissioner for Foods and Veterinary Medicine at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
The following statement should be attributed to John Bode, CEO and President of CRA:
“Mike Taylor is a dedicated public servant. We greatly appreciate the intelligence, energy, and professionalism that he has consistently brought to his duties. While I have sometimes differed with Mike on the appropriate policy approach to be taken, I have never heard so much as a doubt about Mike’s focus on finding the best solution to serve the greater good. We are deeply grateful for the years he has generously dedicated to public service and wish him well in his future endeavors.”
The Corn Refiners Association (CRA) is the national trade association representing the corn refining industry of the United States. CRA and its predecessors have served this important segment of American agribusiness since 1913. Corn refiners manufacture sweeteners, ethanol, starch, bioproducts, corn oil and feed products from corn components such as starch, oil, protein and fiber.
