CRA WELCOMES KRISTY GOODFELLOW AS VICE PRESIDENT OF TRADE AND INDUSTRY AFFAIRS

This past month, Kristy Goodfellow joined the CRA team as the Vice President of Trade and Industry Affairs. In this position, Goodfellow will provide strategic and tactical leadership to CRA and its members on trade policy, statistical and co-products reporting programs, transportation issues, and industry affairs. PLANT BASED PRODUCTS COUNCIL ANNOUNCES JAMES GLUECK AS NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

The Plant Based Products Council (PBPC) announced that James Glueck will join their team as Executive Director. In this position, Glueck will lead PBPC’s advocacy for a shift toward a more circular bioeconomy. To learn more about James Glueck, read the announcement on PBPC’s website.

CRA JOINS PBPC FOR THEIR SECOND ANNUAL CONFERENCE

CRA is excited to join PBPC at their annual conference, PBPC 2024: Circular Solutions. The conference will take place from Apr. 8-10, in Omaha, NE, bringing together members, industry leaders, and policymakers to discuss America’s bioeconomy. Register now to join us.

NORTH CAPITAL FORUM

CRA’s John Bode and Kristy Goodfellow attended the second North Capital Forum hosted by the US-Mexico Foundation, a three-day event that focuses on understanding North America’s main challenges and creating mutually beneficial solutions. Policy topics of discussion ranged from ally-shoring and supply chains to workforce development, migration, and labor mobility. Learn more about the event on the North Capital Forum website.

CARGILL NAMED A 2023 BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE GROUP SUSTAINABILITY AWARDS WINNER

CRA member Cargill was announced as the winner of two Business Intelligence Group Sustainability Awards: Sustainability Service of the Year and the Sustainability Leadership Award. Both awards honor and recognize people, teams, and organizations that have made sustainability a key part of their business function and company mission. PRIMIENT SIGNS THE UNITED NATIONS GLOBAL COMPACT

CRA member Primient recently signed the United Nations Global Compact, a special initiative to align companies’ operations and strategies with 10 principles in the areas of human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption. CARGILL PARTNERS WITH NESTLE TO INCORPORATE CIRCULAR SOLUTIONS AND REDUCE EMISSIONS 

CRA member Cargill is collaborating with Nestlé to incorporate circular solutions into their supply chain systems to reduce emissions. Together they are pioneering new technology to take discarded cocoa shells from chocolate factories and transform them into low-carbon fertilizers. Learn more about their project here.
