Corn and corn products move from field to refinery to store shelves by truck, rail, and water, making an effective and efficient transportation system essential to serving our customers and the nation. As a result, CRA works to ensure the repair and improvement of our nation’s strained infrastructure and transportation systems.

Our priorities include:

CRA transportation priorities include ensuring competition in the rail industry for shippers
CRA transportation priorities include funding improvements for the nation's waterways
advancing changes to trucking regulations, such as hours of service and truck weight limits

CRA staff monitor transportation-related legislative and regulatory proposals and serve as an active participant and partner in numerous transportation and infrastructure coalitions. These include the Agricultural Transportation Working Group and the Waterways Council, which focus on railways and rural infrastructure projects.

We continue to advance CRA member priorities in the transportation and infrastructure space and policy arena.
