WASHINGTON, D.C. – In response to the Senate’s confirmation of Alexis Taylor as Under Secretary for Trade and Foreign Agricultural Affairs at the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Corn Refiners Association President & CEO John Bode issued the following statement:
“Alexis Taylor has spent her life working in and promoting U.S. agriculture and we’re in good hands with her leading these efforts. From her time overseeing USDA’s Farm and Foreign Agricultural Services, to her most recent experience as the Director of the Oregon Department of Agriculture, Taylor has proven herself to be a dedicated public servant with an unparalleled knowledge of agriculture and foreign trade. On behalf of the corn refining industry, I thank the Senate for her confirmation and look forward to working with her on the critical issues facing agricultural trade. We commend Secretary Vilsack’s progress in filling this position.”
