The Corn Refiners Association joined 258 organizations in a letter urging Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) Commission leadership to incorporate the input of farmers, ranchers, food producers, and ingredient manufacturers into the commission’s future work. While the association is enthusiastic about MAHA’s focus on American health and nutrition, CRA encourages leaders to consider the subject matter expertise of industry professionals.

The National Oilseed Processors Association (NOPA) and the Corn Refiners Association (CRA) released a statement following incorrect and misleading comments from Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Marty Makary earlier this month. During an interview, Makary commented that, “generally, [seed oils] are believed to be pro-inflammatory,” which is a claim that is both disparaging and contradictory to established science.

The Corn Refiners Association is pleased to announce the addition of Ameya Khanapurkar as its new Project and Policy Coordinator. In this role, Khanapurkar will support a variety of efforts, including the Carbohydrate Check Sample Program, the weekly CRA Trade Update, research work, and more.
ADM recently broke ground on a new sweetener terminal in Bennett, Colorado. A ceremony was held on June 3rd in commemoration of the new plant and the opportunities it presents for local innovation and economic growth. Learn more about the terminal.
