WASHINGTON, D.C. – Corn Refiners Association President and CEO John Bode released the following statement following President Joe Biden signing a bill to fund the government, extend the 2018 Farm Bill, and provide economic assistance to the nation’s producers.
“CRA is grateful Congress has acted to advance government funding and extend the farm bill to support America’s agriculture industry. However, the failure to extend all provisions in the farm bill, including those critical for the American ag bioeconomy, is a disappointing development.
“CRA encourages Members of Congress to make the passage of a bipartisan five-year farm bill a top priority when it reconvenes, and we look forward to working to make this happen. Passing a new farm bill and providing certainty for the agriculture industry in the 119th Congress is among the best things lawmakers can do to support the next generation of American agriculture.”
