Corn Refiners Association Responds to Senator Stabenow’s Retirement Announcement

January 5, 2023

WASHINGTON, D.C. – In response to Senator Debbie Stabenow’s announcement that she will not seek reelection in 2024, Corn Refiners Association President and CEO John Bode issued the following statement:

“I congratulate Senator Stabenow as she moves on to the next phase of her career. She is thoughtful, hardworking, and respected on both sides of the aisle, and the Senate will mourn her absence. Her leadership can be measured by her tremendous influence on federal agriculture policy, as well as her exceptionally talented staff. I particularly admire her dedication to the development of the agriculture bioeconomy, which creates jobs in rural communities and benefits the environment. With one more Farm Bill to go, her work in the Senate continues. We look forward to working with her on the Farm Bill, and other agricultural priorities, and seeing what she does next for Michigan and the country.”
